 Easy way to use the new GPS system September 10, 2010

The Garmin friction mount works nicely, it sets comfortably on a slanted dash surface without slipping. It's a good solution and enables me to have the gps at my fingertips.

I've been using this product for a couple of years now, and i am very happy with it. The GPS I had originally broke, I bought a new one and I still use this old portable friction mount. It holds very well, it does not slide, and allows me to remove the GPS easily and without leaving any trace when I leave the car.

I find this friction mount to be very much superior to any of the suction mounts. It's quick and easy to use and leaves no telltale rings on your windshield. It is very stable on the dashboard and can be moved to any position or angle that you need. Delivery in frustration-free packaging was also a plus.
I liked mine so much I have bought them as gifts for others with Garmin GPS units.

Driving in NYC, we often have potholes, bumps, sudden stops, curves, etc....so the suction cup will not cut it!!..it would usually jump off the window, or in my case rip!
I was hesitant at first about the cost of the friction mount, but i thought i would give it a try..and if anything return it..
However, it works great!! The GPS stays put wherever i put it...usually in the curve of the dashboard. I like that it can lock in the position as well.
Then after I park, i can easily stash it right under the backseat in one piece! No worry about dust or lint because of the material..
I would recommend it and buy from them again! Hope it helps!

Do not waste your money buying this from BeachCamera. They will not send you the product as shown (they will send you the beanbag, but not the part that you actually attach to the GPS.)
I don't know if this is the case every time, but in mine they conveniently did not include an invoice either, so when I attempted to resolve this with them I was told there was "nothing I could do." They don't have invoices on file for the products they've sold? Seems shady...
Looks like a good product, but I cannot tell until I purchase the rest of it from a different company.
